Virginia Tech picked up its fourth commitment for the 2012 class when South View High's Dahman McKinnon committed to the Hokies.

Virginia Tech’s role of grabbing recruits for the 2012 class continued Saturday when the Hokies landed under-the-radar South View High (Hope Mills, N.C.) defensive back Dahman McKinnon.

McKinnon, who is 6-foot-1, 195 pounds, could play in the secondary or move up to linebacker.

He finished his junior season with 136 tackles, making a season-high 18 tackles in a late-season loss to Seventh-First High of Fayetteville, N.C.

McKinnon had four sacks and added an interception, two blocked field goals and a pair of fumble recoveries.
