Quick Bio
Vince Hall was one of the most sought after recruits in the nation this past year and considered offers from the likes of Penn State, Tennessee, North Carolina, and South Carolina before deciding on the Hokies.
The Scoop
Western Branch star Vince Hall will arrive at Tech this Saturday. And that won't be without great expectations. The Tech staff expects Hall to jump in right away and pick up early playing time.

Key Points
  • Coach Beamer let a host of true freshmen play last season and the coaching staff will have at least one more prospect playing as a true freshman this season in Vince Hall. "I'm not redshirting, that's what the coaches told me," Hall said. "They don't want me to redshirt. They said they want to work me into the program. I feel it's going to be a big jump from high school to college, but I know I can do it."

  • When will Hall make it up to Virginia Tech? "I will be going there starting this Saturday," Hall said. And is he ready to get started at Tech? "Yes sir, you bet."

  • Hall notes that he has been working hard in the weightroom. He's in good shape now and is currently doing reps of 275.

    Outlook
With some playing time available, Hall could step right in and produce at linebacker for the Hokies. Hall has good instincts and is a true linebacker with good speed. "I can just see plays develop before they happen, and I try and use my quickness to get there," he said.
