2014 DB holds WFU offer

Wake Forest is getting an early start with a 2014 defensive back from Florida, their favorite recruiting territory. Wake Forest offered Hallmon over the summer after watching his sophomore highlights.

Wake Forest offered Hallmon over the summer after watching his sophomore highlights.

"They told me on Facebook," Hallmon said. "I've been talking to them a little bit since and getting mail from them. I don't really know too much about them yet. All I know is little stuff about them from what they sent me in the mail about the school and campus."

Hallmon may be the first prospect from the 2014 class to start talking about official visits. He can't take them for almost another entire year but he seems to know what he's going to do. "I'm going to be visiting next year for an official visit. That will be my first official visit," Hallmon said.

Wake Forest isn't the only school to offer the 5'10, 175-pound cornerback. He said Purdue and Clemson have also offered but that it's somewhat unclear. His coach won't discuss offers in-depth with his junior players yet. "He doesn't want to tell us and have us get big-headed," Hallmon said. "But those are the three schools I know."

Hallmon indicated that he has no favorites but after Cypress Bay's playoff run he might start to think more about that. "I'm just focused on football season. We've got a good chance to win the state so I don't want to focus on recruiting," he said.

With five interceptions, a blocked field goal and two blocked punts Hallmon has excelled on defense and special teams for Cypress Bay.
