Although Martin is likely to play safety at Tech, he also plays quarterback at the high school level for George Washington High in Danville. "Our offense has come a long way this year too," he noted. "I've got four touchdowns passing, four touchdowns running."
Although Martin has a scholarship there and is set on being a Hokie, he continues to work on his game. "I've got the weightlifting class at school. That's my main focus this year – working in the weight room and working hard. Strength and speed."
Martin is also keeping up with the coaches at Tech as well. "I talk to Coach Rogers as often as I can," he said. "Once every couple weeks. That's who I stay most in contact with. I go up there on Saturdays and go to all the Saturday games."
"My brother is up there too," Martin said of his brother Orion. "I went up with him and a couple weeks ago. I talked to Elan Lewis the other week before he made his commitment."
Martin and his GW-Danville squad will take on Reidsville this weekend.
