Gaithersburg (Md.) linebacker Akeem Hebron (6-2, 198, 4.5) now says Georgia leads slightly over Virginia Tech, LSU, Oklahoma and Ohio State. All have offered.

"Right now, it's Georgia as my leader, but that could also change any day," said Hebron, from Good Counsel High School.

"I like how the defense at Georgia is based mostly on speed. They really don't have those real big 255 pound LBs there. They use a more quick speed linebacker and I like that. I've been to Atlanta before, but I've never been to Georgia's campus. I'd like a chance to get out there.

"I like how Virginia Tech isn't that far from home. I've never been there, but I'd like to get out there soon also.

"I like how LSU doesn't have that many linebackers on their roster right now. I really don't know the exact number of linebackers they plan on bringing in, but I think if I went there I could get some early playing time. That's something that I want," he said.

Hebron just received the MVP award for 'backers at the Elite combine in New Jersey on May 5.

"This summer I'd like to get out to the schools that are closest to me for unofficial visits…like Virginia Tech. I'm still looking to make my decision on a school closer to Signing Day.

Hebron claims 30 total offers, including Illinois, Boston College, Florida, Tennessee, Michigan and Nebraska.
