Latif Adds Tech Offer

With Virginia Tech extending a scholarship offer last week, the Hokies immediately catapult themselves to the co-leader position for Khalil Latif with in-state rival Virginia.

"Virginia Tech is a very good football team," said Khalil Latif. "It's a very good school academically, also."

Latif, who has unofficially visited Maryland, North Carolina, and Virginia, has yet to drop by Blacksburg, but is in the process of planning a trip.

"I haven't been to Tech, yet," said Latif. "I plan to go up there soon. I'll probably go up there to visit the campus over the summer."

Additionally, Latif plans to include Virginia Tech among his summer camping trips.

As a junior at Midlothian (Va.) Manchester, Latif was named All-Dominon District first team, All-Central Region first team, All-Metro (Richmond) first team, and second team All-State. On the year Latif collected 87 pancake blocks.

In addition the Hokies, Latif holds offers from Virginia, Maryland, Tennessee, and Wake Forest. All of his offering schools are looking to play the 6-foot-2, 276-pounder at guard.
