“They offered in late February,” said Nosal. “They called my coach and we called them back and they talked to me for a while and offered me.”
With a Virginia Tech offer in hand Nosel attended the Hokies spring game in April.
“It was fun, there were a whole lot of people there,” said Nosal. “There was some pressure [to commit], but there wasn’t too much. They were just really friendly with me and my folks. They just said, take your time, [and] just let us know.”
That “friendliness” has Virginia Tech in the driver’s seat of Nosal’s recruitment.
“I like them a lot – they’re my top choice,” said Nosal of the Hokies. “[It’s because] last football season their top ranking, and they’re real friendly to me when I talk to them.”
With a leader established and Akron being his only other scholarship offer, Nosal is looking to make a verbal commitment by late June- early July.
Before making that pledge, Nosal will attend summer camps at both Virginia Tech and Virginia.
At 6-foot-7 and 255 pounds, Nosal is being recruited for offensive tackle, but plays tight end and defensive tackle in high school.
During his junior season at Virginia Beach (Va.) Kellam, Nosal had a solid season on both sides of the ball, but was used mostly as a blocker on offense.
