Virginia Tech head men's basketball coach Ricky Stokes is out on the recruiting trail looking for top talent to fill some open scholarships at Virginia Tech in the coming years.
Wednesday, Stokes was in Mebane, North Carolina for the "Pepsi Challenj." The Challenj put the top players from Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina head-to-head.
Top talent such as Chris Paul (Wake Forest verbal), Jeremy Ingram, Anthony King, junior Cedric Simmons, and others were in attendance for the event and Coach Stokes was actively scouting the talent at the Challenj.
Jeremy Ingram, Anthony King, Reyshaun Terry, and Wilfried Fameni were amongst the players Stokes was watching on Wednesday.
VTI spoke briefly with Stokes, and was told that recruiting is going "very well." There is a long way to go in the recruiting process for most of these guys, though. However, if the Hokies can sign anyone the caliber of Ingram, King, Terry, or Fameni from this class, Tech recruiting will truly have gone "very well."
