Brown Lists Five; Talks Tech Football

Tight end Duane Brown is off to a good start in his senior season. Brown has five schools on his list including the Hokies. Brown talks about Virginia Tech as well as his recruitment.

Tight end Duane Brown has five schools still on his list at this point in his recruitment. "Right now I'm looking at UVa, Virginia Tech, Maryland, North Carolina, and Tennessee," Brown said. Maryland, Tech, and UVa have all offered.

"I don't know when I'll decide, but I'm probably going to wait until after I take official visits before I commit." Brown noted that he will visit Tech on November 30 for the Virginia game.

He is also very impressed with the Hokie program. "They have a pretty young team and have good young quarterbacks in Randall and Marcus Vick so they're capable of throwing the ball," Brown said. "They should be pretty good next year too. I like the offense even though they're running the ball a lot because of Kevin Jones and Lee Suggs but after Suggs graduates I think they will throw more."

Although distance from home is somewhat important, Brown notes that it is "not really a factor. I just don't want to go too far," Brown said. "And Tennessee is pretty far from home."

Brown, who has eight receptions for 133 yards and a touchdown this season, will lead his Hermitage squad against Patrick Henry this Friday. Recommended Stories
