First String, First Class

Athletes of all ages and ability levels are heading to First String Fitness in Virginia Beach to work on their strength, agility, explosiveness, and most importantly their speed. From freshman in high school to college graduates who are looking to make NFL rosters, Coach Stringfield is making quite a name for himself as the man to see if you want to improve your game.
“It was an easy day today,” said Coach Anthony Stringfield, as his athletes came crawling to the endzone after a grueling workout. It is only May and the heat and humidity is already becoming unbearable. However, this is exactly what these kids sign up for when they come to 1String Fitness in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Guys are always looking for an edge and a leg up on their competition, and those who train with Coach Stringfield are certainly getting that edge. His training program uses all types of training methods including low impact, high resistance rubber band training, running with weights on sleds tied to the waist, and parachutes behind guys to increase resistance when running defensive back drills. The guys who have signed up to train at the brand new facility all agree on one thing, it works.
I was in attendance this past Saturday on Dre Bly Field to watch a workout and came away very impressed. These kids could be anywhere on Saturday afternoon, but they chose to be on the field with Coach Stringfield working their butts off. The ages ranged from a freshman in high school who was hoping to improve his game enough to make the varsity squad this fall, all the way to a few guys who have graduated from college and are looking forward to tryouts with the
Buffalo Bills
and
Baltimore Ravens
in a few weeks. Check out the photo gallery below for an inside look at the workout.
