Corey Gwynn: Dre Bly Camp Video Interview

Corey Gwynn

Exclusive coverage from the Dre Bly Football Camp in Virginia Beach, Virginia. 1String Fitness hosted the event, which was fittingly held on Dre Bly Field. Coach Anthony Stringfield led the day's events and let join in the fun.

One of the athletes who really stood out at the Dre Bly Football Camp was Corey Gwynn. The wide receiver prospect from Grassfield High in Chesapeake, Virginia worked out extremely well and had a smile on his face all camp long.

I had the chance to see Gwynn workout at the combine in Baltimore and enjoyed getting a chance to get a better look at him at this camp. He ran a 4.53 second 40-yard dash on a laser timer at the Scout combine and looked lightning fast and in better shape nearly three months later.

The turf field on Dre Bly Field at 1String Fitness is the same as the one at the Ravens Stadium and it was nice getting to compare him on the same surface.

Gwynn has terrific feet and I was impressed by his overall strength. His upper body is impressive but you can see that his legs are very powerful. Gwynn is not incredibly big at 5-foot-10 and just under 185-pounds, but he can get up to catch the ball and is an interesting receiver prospect to watch in Virginia. He has very above average hands and just needs to keep doing what he is doing and should be fine.

Gwynn does not yet have an offer but he has been to camp at South Carolina and Temple and is definitely on the map. A big summer of camping for this guy could do wonders for him. Check out Corey and his quick feet in a ladder drill at the camp. Corey is also having some fun with Coach Anthony Stringfield calling out how many fingers he is holding up while he is making his way down the ladder.

Corey also sat down with after Day 1 of the camp. Check out his two part interview below.
